Rebecca Faye
Rebecca Faye is the heart and soul owner of Hello Beautiful, located in the center of Brooklyn's Fashion District on Bedford Avenue in Williamsburg. Since opening in 1999, Rebecca has been putting one heel in front of the other, styling rockstars, models, and local hipsters and fashionistas alike.At 19 years old she knew what she had to do to get where she is today. Moving to New York City, Rebecca began a modeling career which landed her backstage and on the runways of fashion and hair shows.
She went on to work for some of New York City's hottest salons such as Patricia Fields where she built a clientele of A-list celebrities. With an inherent love for fashion and style and her obvious confidence and talent, she began building the bricks of her successful career. In 1999 Rebecca decided to take those bricks and build her own salon, Hello Beautiful.
Her reputation in the salon industry has landed her work styling musicians for T.R.L and The Video Music Awards. With today's ever changing styles, Rebecca Faye has taken her knowledge of todays hottest techniques and trends and placed her signature on every one.
Thom Markee
Thom Markee joined Hello Beautiful a few years ago, after gaining 10 years experience in some of
Boston's most popular salons. He received a write-up in Improper Bostonian Magazine for
Best Men's Cut in 2002.
Thom can create cuts from classic to avant garde that will grow out amazingly and natural looking color with a little edge.
Jamie Starr
Jamie Starr began styling hair at the age 16. He began a cutting apprenticeship at Vidal Sasson. He then moved on to Jerel Roberts to pursue his path as a colorist. Bored with all that at 23 Jamie landed a national platform artist position with Manic Panic N.Y.C. Dazzling clients across America. He then hit to road to tour with Lolla Palooza...Jamie Starr has appeared on shows such as Blind Date, Evening Magazine, and most resent "Split Ends" on the Style network where the whole salon turns chaos. Coloring the wild at heart, he now lives and works in New York styling shoots and the people at Hello Beautiful. If you like hair color with a signature Starr is the name.Lola Newsome
Lola trained/worked under Master colorist and former Goldwell educator Robert Chindamo. The Robert Lee group is where she started on fashionable Smith street in Brooklyn. Lola moved into Manhattan to the Paul Labreque Salon and hastily looked for work back in Brooklyn where she could be herself tattoos and all. She walked into Hello Beautiful and has never looked back. It is the the perfect combination of high fashion taste and good people. Lola has done editorial work for Gotham magazine, and several NY photographers including Patrick McMullen. She is the mother of three and wife to one.Ayame Matsuoka
Ayame came to New York City from Japan in 2002 and joined our team after working in one of the most well known salons in the Meat Packing District. Amayae can bust out the sleekest style or updo for any occasion.
Kanako
Kanako from Tokyo, Japan is one of Hello Beautiful's hair veterans. Having trained at Aveda and worked at Warren Tricomi, Kanako brings a great knowledge of hair, from cuts to color in the salon. Kanako has also done styling for TV, NYC Collections, magazines, and weddings.
